Depends on your route. If you are going to weigh+measure everything, probably a good tool. If you are going to treat this less like a diet and more like the rest of your life, I'd say a waste of money. I am firmly in the camp of "diets got me here", therefore, I do not weigh, measure, log, journal, or the like. Maybe someday I will need to, but for now, I ain't fixing what ain't broken.
Thanks Amy. I've seen conflicting opinions, but it's not to hear of results being seen without the use of weighing & journaling. I know myself, and I'm sure it would eventually end up at the back of the cabinet in record time!
I know the back of that closet - I have one here, too! And a digital food scale would probably end up between the cappacino maker I got for an anniversary gift 9 years ago and the juicer that I have no idea where it came from! I am thinking that Amy has a good point.
Hi there... I use mine as I would have no idea what 50g of cottage cheese looks like ! I consider it another tool on my lap-band journey, once I recognise what the weights of food portions look like, I may not need it :D Rachel. http://www.Urban-Wasteland.com (lapband blog)
I use mine to get an idea of what a serving looks like. However, I haven't used it since I have restriction, I couldn't eat a serving if I tried. I have a pretty cheap one $10 that I got at CVS and it works great.
Hello, I'm T from Tx and I'm in the beginning miles of my trek to Bandland. Yep, the Lap Band. This time next year I hope to be posting as a healthier me.
